TUITION FEES

Tuition is invoiced two weeks in advanced and due on the first day of each school term (specified on the Studio Calendar). Fees not only pay for students’ time spent with the teacher, but also the teacher’s lesson preparation. Annual enrolment fees include administration, access to the practise app, student folders, resources, lesson aids, incentives, and printing costs. Music books, sheet music, eisteddfod and AMEB fees are not included in tuition fees, but may be purchased by the teacher and included in the following invoice. The teacher reserves the right to raise tuition fees at the beginning or middle of each year.

ABSENCES       

Lessons cancelled at the teacher’s request will be rescheduled at a time that suits the teacher and student. If the lesson is unable to be rescheduled, a refund will be issued. Student cancellations are required to give notice of absence a minimum of five hours before their scheduled lesson. These cancellations must be input through the student/parent portal system in order to gain a make up credit. In this circumstance, the lesson will be rescheduled at a time that suits the teacher and student and will be valid until the beginning of the next term. Please keep in mind due to both student and teacher commitments, lesson rescheduling may not be possible. Lack of notice or notice of absence after five hours before the scheduled lesson will be considered a non-refundable absence. Students going on holidays during the school term are required to give one month's written notice.

STUDENT EXPECTATIONS

Students are to practise following the notes written by the teacher in their assignment book. Quality practise at least five days a week is preferred for optimal progression. Parents are encouraged to be present during home practises to encourage the child and ensure they are on the right track; this generally makes the child progress faster. Students' nails are to be clipped at all times.

MEDIA

Students may be filmed or photographed during lessons or recitals to track progress or document achievements. Videos and photos may be posted on social media or the studio website. If you would like to opt out, please SMS or email your request.

DISCONTINUATIONS

Parents are required to give one month's written notice (email, SMS, or letter) for termination of lessons.
